Yangaro is a place for friends, family and guests to soak up the natural delights of the unique, pristine surroundings of Funnel Bay.
Inspired by the natural wonders and stunning water vistas of Funnel Bay, Kevin and Dolores Beasley conceived the dream of creating a luxury boutique resort to share with family, friends and guests from around the world to share in the beauty of their little known slice of paradise in the Whitsundays. Along with renowned architect Chris Beckingham, they imagined and built their luxurious first house - Emerald House. That original concept evolved into a vision of luxury tropical experiences on a grander scale.
And so, Yangaro was born.
Yangaro is the merger of words that speaks to the philosophy of the resort – Yang, the passion and brightness of the yin yang, and Ngaro, the name of the indigenous people of Whitsundays. At Yangaro we set the scene for memorable, unique experiences, connecting families, friends and colleagues to the local tropical flora and fauna of Funnel Bay, and to both the landscapes and seascapes unique to this special place.
